Terms of Service

What Prima Player is

Prima Player is a media player application for Samsung Tizen televisions. It plays media from a playlist that you provide, using an account you hold with a provider of your own choosing.

We do not supply, host, resell, index or control any media. Prima Player ships with no channels, films or streams of any kind. It is an empty player until you connect a playlist. What that playlist contains, and whether you are entitled to it, is a matter between you and the provider you obtained it from.

What your subscription buys

A subscription grants the use of the Prima Player application and its supporting service — device pairing, playlist storage and synchronisation between the web panel and your television — for a fixed period.

Your responsibilities

What we do not promise

The service is provided as it is. We cannot guarantee that any particular playlist will work, that a provider's servers will be reachable, or that a given stream will play on a given television — the formats a Samsung television can decode are decided by the television, not by us. Interruptions caused by your provider, your network or your hardware are outside our control.

Ending the agreement

We may suspend or end access where these terms are broken, in particular where the service is used to access material unlawfully. Where we end access for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of the period.

Who you are contracting with

Payments are handled by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record and is the seller for the purposes of the transaction. Paddle's own terms apply to the payment itself. Prima Player remains responsible for providing the service.

The short version: we do not ask who you are. There is no customer account, no name and no email address. A television is identified by an ID the application generates on the device itself.

What is stored, and why

DataWhy
A device identifier generated on the television, a 6-character pairing key, and a hash of the device token To recognise the television, to let you claim it on the web panel, and to authenticate it afterwards. The token itself is never stored, only a hash of it.
Television model, firmware version, screen resolution and application version To diagnose playback problems, which differ sharply between television models and firmware.
The playlist you add: its address, and the username and password it contains These are the credentials of your account with your provider. They are stored so your television can load your channels without you retyping them, and they are sent to that provider and to nobody else.
Counts of launches, when the device was last seen, and minutes played To tell an active installation from an abandoned one, and to support you when something is wrong.
Subscription state: which period was bought, when it ends, and a payment reference from Paddle To know whether a device is entitled to use the service, and to match a refund to the right device.

What is not stored

Who processes it

Data is not sold, rented or shared for advertising.

How long it is kept

Device and playlist records are kept while the device is in use. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Activity logs are kept for operational history.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK you may ask for a copy of what is held about your device, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Deleting a playlist removes its credentials immediately. To have a device and everything attached to it erased, write to us with the device ID shown on your television — see Contact.

Because we hold no name or email address, the device ID and pairing key shown on your own television are what we use to confirm a request relates to your device.

Cookies

The web panel sets one cookie to keep you signed in to the device you claimed. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

Refund Policy

Last updated: 15 September 2026

14-day right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may cancel within 14 days of purchase and receive a full refund. You do not have to give a reason.

Beyond 14 days

We would still rather you were not paying for something that does not work for you. If the application will not run on your television, or a problem we cannot fix stops you using it, write to us and we will refund the unused part of the period.

We cannot refund because a playlist stopped working. Playlists come from your own provider, and whether their service works is between you and them.

How to request one

Refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method, normally within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank. When a refund is processed, the subscription it paid for ends.

Try before you buy

Every television gets a free trial when the application is first launched, so you can confirm Prima Player works with your playlist and your television before paying anything.

Support, privacy requests, refunds and anything else:

support@primaplayer.com

We aim to reply within two business days.

What to include

The device ID shown on your television's pairing screen. Since we hold no name or email address, that ID is how we find your device. For a playback problem, the television's model number helps too.

Billing

Payments are processed by Paddle as merchant of record. Billing questions can be raised with us, or directly with Paddle using the receipt you were emailed at purchase.
